Baja fairy duster is a tall and lanky shrub, with bright red flower clusters and leaves which are light sensitive, closing at night and opening in the morning. As a Baja California native, Baja fairy duster does not typically grow in southern California, but rather further south. However it still does well as a nectar source for native butterflies and other insects, as well as hummingbirds. A great accent plant species for a burst of color.
