Keckiella cordifolia – Climbing penstemon -1gallon

Climbing penstemon is a beautiful flowering shrub native to southern California & northern Baja. Reaching a maximum of around 6ft in height, it rarely does so on its own, as it has a much more spreading form. Best planted near support structures or other tall chaparral shrubs to accentuate its vine-like nature. Does well in shady spots with access to groundwater, especially in hotter inland areas. In milder climates near the coast it does well in full sun. Tubular flower clusters of bright red are eye popping and great for hummingbirds.
