Laurel Sumac is a quintessential Chaparral species in Southern California and Baja, growing up to 20ft tall and 20ft in width. Beautiful evergreen foliage, folded over into what many describe as a taco shape, helps withstand hot temperatures. A great choice for anywhere in Southern California that doesn’t regularly experience frost. A great choice for wildlife with many hosted moth species, and a large mounding form that creates many hiding place for animals of varying sizes. Great for establishing hedgerows and and a canopy for under-story wildflowers, lichens, ferns and more.
